Witcraft and Sorcery beliefs taking its roots in WaraKamb

Due to the absence of proper leadership, education, and spiritual Christian teachings, sorcery, witchcraft and magic are growing roots in the valley. Recently, any sudden death is attributed to sorcery. ladies have been burnt alive and even thrown out into the bushes to die. Something needs to be done before its even worse.

Environment and climate change

Trees are growing well in Warakamb. To mitigate the effects of climate change, the vast areas of warakamb need to have trees planted. This will prevent soil erosion, prevent land slides, and supply logs, and timber and fire wood.

Proper Water Source needed in Warakamb

Fresh water source needed

During a short visit to the valley during the festive period, it was noted that there was an increased caseload of diarrhoeal diseases. This was directly linked to polluted water source, which is the main creek. People had been building their houses upstream from the creeks and had no proper toilets but just using the creek as toilet. This is a very dangerous situation. warnings had been given to build proper toiles but to no avail. There was an urgent need for a proper water supply.
